Who we are

This website is operated by Wild Edges, Lda. (NIPC 514693975), trading as RockRose, with registered offices at Rua dos Faisões, 60, 2750-689 Cascais, Portugal. For any question about this policy, write to rockrosemelides@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you type into the booking request form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message, and the dates and number of guests you selected. We use it for one purpose — to answer your request and, if you go ahead, to arrange your stay.

The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

We do not buy, sell or enrich personal data, we do not build profiles, and we do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.

Allergies and dietary needs

If you tell us about an allergy or a dietary requirement — here or later, when we arrange your stay — that is information about your health, and the law treats it with extra care. We ask for it only so that the kitchen can prepare for you safely, we use it for nothing else, and we share it only with the people at the house who need it to cook for you. Telling us is your choice: the legal basis is your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

How long we keep it

Booking requests are kept for 180 days and are then deleted automatically. If a request becomes a booking, the associated records are kept for as long as Portuguese tax and accounting law requires.

Who else sees it

• Resend (Resend, Inc.) delivers the email that carries your request to us. Your message passes through their systems.
• Mobiweb hosts and maintains this website on our behalf, and can access the server where requests are stored.
• Adobe Fonts serves the typeface used on this site. Your browser requests the font files from Adobe, which means Adobe receives your IP address.

We do not share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Write to rockrosemelides@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
